Can You Say ‘Busy, Busy, Busy’?

I actually think that’s a line from Frosty the Snowman but it has now become our slogan for 2014l! And if you look at the sales we have scheduled for the upcoming couple of weeks (8 sales in 13 days), it’s going to get ‘busier, busier, busier’.

Just one month ago, on Sunday, May 18, we were at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds for an auction that not only contained some mechanic and shop tools, but a nice collection of deer antlers, head mounts and hunting supplies. We also sold a nice collection of firearms where a 1906 Winchester gun sold for $1900! One of the other highlights was the sale of a 2009 Trail Bay 27 ft. travel trailer that sold for $8500!

On Wednesday, May 21st, we headed to St. Charles, MO for an auction that included a nice, clean assortment of household items. If you were in the market for some nice furniture, this would have been the sale for you. We also sold a Cub Cadet Zero-Turn lawn tractor for $1900.

We headed back to the Lincoln County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 24 for the Roberta M. Harding Estate auction. A nice collection of 14K gold jewelry brought out the jewelry buyers but the sale of the vehicles was the highlight of the sale. A 2001 GMC Sierra extended cab pickup truck showing 31,xxx actual miles sold for $9,000 while the 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Premium Sedan (with only 28,xxx miles) sold for $12,000!

On Sunday, May 25, the crew headed to Elsberry for the balance of the Roberta M. Harding Estate sale. This sale included a small collection of household items but also the real estate. Some of our best sales our held on holidays so on Memorial Day, we headed south on Hwy. 61 for the Tom & Kathy McBride auction. This 3.509 acre tract with home and improvements sold for $182,000.00
