Auctioneer’s Note: Bert has just turned 90. Her maiden name was Burkemper. Bob & Bert were lifelong residents of the Ethlyn/Old Monroe area. Grandpa Brown built the Brown Mercantile in Ethlyn. Bob & Bert were part owners of the IGA store in Old Monroe. Bert was a true auction follower, if there was a sale in the area, Bert was there.
