Auctioneer’s Note: Gene and Rosemary were married 67 years. Gene served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Gene and Rosemary owned and ran Dog Prairie Tavern in St. Paul since 1964 and Gene was still tending bar until he was 90. It was said, Gene never met a stranger and he would buy your first beer whether he knew you or not. Gene loved band nights and would sing-along and dance. He was a generous man and gave to countless charities such as veterans groups and churches. They were members of the St. Paul Catholic Church. He enjoyed collecting vintage cars and antiques. The fish fry’s at Dog Prairie on Friday nights were legendary! Gene and Rosemary and the Dog Prairie Tavern were a landmark in St. Paul. See you at the sale. David, Dusty & Bill
