Background:
After retiring from education, Bruce Werkmeister came to Thornhill Real Estate and Auction Company in 2016 to start a new chapter as a licensed real estate agent. Werkmeister brings a wealth of leadership, community service, and practical experience to help residents make sound real estate investments.

Werkmeister gained a great deal of agriculture and construction experience as an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor prior to become a principal. He taught high school students about all aspects of building construction, landscaping and greenhouse management, agricultural sales and marketing, along with traditional crop and livestock production. He remains active in the agriculture community by staying active in the Lincoln County Fair and helping on the family farm.

“Bruce served the Pike and Lincoln County communities as an agriculture teacher, FFA Advisor, and high school principal for nearly two decades” said David Thornhill, owner of Thornhill Real Estate and Auction Co. “Bruce’s commitment to service, relationships developed through educating students, and knowledge of real estate and construction make him an asset to anyone looking to buy or sell farm and residential real estate.”

Bruce and his wife Connie, Troy R-III School District Administrator, are active in the Sacred Heart Church, Mizzou Alumni Association, and several education organizations.
